Actor's Story
Origins
I come from a long line of theatre people — I am the third generation in a family whose life has been intertwined with the stage for nearly seventy-five years. My grandfather, a member of the founding committee of the local State Theatre, served as its first stage manager and had the honor of striking the inaugural gong at the theatre’s very first performance.
After building his career in several other theatres, my father spent ten years as a senior actor in that institution and continued to appear on various professional stages across the country throughout his long career. Behind the scenes, my grandmother worked as a dedicated seamstress, while my mother contributed as a props manager, both of them supporting countless productions with tireless commitment and craftsmanship. My sister is also an actress, pursuing her own artistic path on the stage of another state theatre.

Debut
I made my professional debut at the age of four, performing alongside my father in a comedy. My lines were recorded on tape, yet the experience was fully alive — and the audience’s warm reaction both onstage and after the show were very enthusiastic. The production was directed by Andrei Mihalache, then at the start of his career and later the director of the Satu Mare Theatre. That early success shaped my confidence and set the tone for the decades of artistic work that followed.

Career
Theatre Roles
Over more than 25 years of professional activity, I have performed in over 70 different theatre roles, ranging from supporting to leading characters, across drama, comedy, and tragedy, in both classical and modern plays.
My artistic journey has allowed me to explore a wide spectrum of styles, authors, and theatrical traditions, always guided by curiosity, discipline, and respect for the craft.
My work on stage has been complemented by collaborations with local cultural institutions — including the public library, the municipal museum, memorial houses, and cultural centers — where I was invited to contribute to events, readings, workshops, and community projects.
Film Work
My artistic path also includes work in cinema. I have acted in two films — one feature film and one short film.
For the short film, I also served as executive producer, and the project went on to receive recognition at several international festivals, including London, Rome, Asti (Audience Special Award), Cannes (independent festival), and Chambal in India.
The feature film was shot in Bucharest (Romania), Paris (France), and Chișinău (Republic of Moldova), including scenes filmed in the historic Moldovafilm studios. Its premiere took place at Sala Luceafărul in central Bucharest.
Collaborations and international activity
My artistic interests have taken me around the world. I have gathered extensive visual and documentary material from visits to:
• Athens – Theatre of Dionysus & Acropolis Museum and Archeology Museum
• Rome – the exhibition TEATRO - AUTORI, ATTORI E PUBBLICO NELL`ANTICA ROMA at Museo dell`Ara Pacis and the Etruscan Museum
• France – Musée Carnavalet & the troubadour castles of Languedoc
• China – Beijing Opera at the Central Academy of Drama
• Venice – Muzeo Mariano Fortuny Y Madrazo (Ca Fortuny) and Casa di Carlo Goldoni
• London – The National Gallery and Tate Britain
I was invited to give a lecture at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Rome, Italy, where I presented insights from my studies in Beijing and my research into global theatre traditions.
